A New Benchmark in Performance Wear: OceanSafe, Lenzing and Impetus Introduce Circular Capsule Collection
We are excited to share a significant milestone in our collaboration with Lenzing Group and Grupo Impetus. Together, we have developed a fully circular capsule collection that brings together TENCEL™ Lyocell A100 fibers and OceanSafe’s marine-biodegradable naNea co-polyester. This partnership demonstrates how responsible material choices can deliver strong technical performance across multiple apparel categories.
The capsule highlights several advancements. Fabrics made with naNea show a noticeably softer, more refined hand feel compared to conventional polyester, making them suitable even for next-to-skin applications. At the same time, the combination of Lyocell A100 and naNea provides durability, moisture management and comfort that meet the needs of modern performance wear. It is a clear example of how circular materials can match or exceed the performance of traditional synthetics.
The development was driven by close collaboration throughout the value chain. Lenzing, Impetus and OceanSafe jointly explored how innovation in fibers and materials can accelerate sustainable transformation without compromising functionality. The result is a collection that spans several use cases, from yoga and athleisure garments to functional layers and jackets.
Our sincere thanks go to the teams at Lenzing and Impetus for their commitment to bringing this vision to life. We look forward to expanding the use of naNea in future applications and continuing to drive scalable, circular solutions for the textile industry.
