OceanSafe at Performance Days: Major Updates on naNea and New Partnerships
Performance Days Munich has once again been an important moment for the textile industry, and OceanSafe was pleased to welcome visitors at our booth in Hall A1 at IN06. This season, we shared several significant updates on naNea, our next-generation biodegradable polyester, highlighting how it is moving rapidly toward broader market adoption.
The focus of this year’s presence was on four key developments: competitive pricing, industrial-scale production, high-performance properties and new recycled and bio-based feedstock options. These advancements demonstrate how naNea continues to evolve into a scalable and responsible alternative to traditional polyester, offering strong technical performance alongside full circularity.
In addition to showcasing new materials and applications, OceanSafe participated in multiple sessions across the fair. Together with Lenzing Group, we presented a joint workshop on the circular collaboration between TENCEL Lyocell and naNea, featuring insights from partners across the value chain. The session highlighted how strategic partnerships are accelerating innovation in sustainable performance materials.
OceanSafe also joined an expert talk hosted by HUGO BOSS and Feinjersey, providing an early look at a new sports and performance concept that integrates next-generation circular fibers. These conversations demonstrated how leading brands and manufacturers are actively exploring high-performance alternatives that reduce environmental impact.
We were pleased to connect with so many visitors, partners and innovators during the show. Performance Days continues to be an important platform to share progress, exchange ideas and advance circular solutions for the textile industry. OceanSafe remains committed to scaling naNea and supporting partners in the transition to safer and more sustainable materials.
